Hope For Children Foundation Supported By PCG Digital Marketing

By Mandy Saffer

The third annual Rolling Greens Golf Tournament and Wine Tasting was held recently to raise money for 10-year-old Brandon Kucowski. The event was sponsored by The Hope For Children Foundation of New Jersey (HFCF), which raises money and awareness for children in Monmouth County with serious illnesses. PCG Digital Marketing’s Steve Murphy is a proud member of the foundation and is dedicated to raising funds.

The Hope For Children Foundation of New Jersey provides medical care, family assistance and special programs to those in need in Monmouth County. The foundation’s tagline is “getting together with family, friends and colleagues to make a difference in our community.” On Tuesday, October 9, 2012, the HCFC held their third annual golf tournament and wine tasting event, which honors Scott McGinn; McGinn has helped to raise over one million dollars since joining HCFC.

The proceeds from this year’s event helped Brandon, who was born with Schizenchephaly, a disorder that prevents him from walking or performing any self-help skills on his own. All the funds raised from this event will be used to help buy a Quadriciser, which is a machine that will help him from the effects of the condition.

This year, the golf tournament and wine tasting raised an unbelievable $65,595 in donations.

HFCF Raised Over $65,000 For A Child In Need

Hope For Children FoundationSteve Murphy, Marketing Manager at PCG Digital Marketing, has been involved with HFCF for the past few years. He is now on the board and helps with the organization’s web committee and marketing efforts. A former employer was a member of the HCFC and encouraged Steve to help out with the marketing initiatives. This exposed him to all of the great things the HFCF was doing for the community.

Over the past three years, Steve has been volunteering for the HFCF and has learned just how much people in the community value what the organization does.

“I have a sister who has been battling multiple forms of cancer for the past eight years,” explains Steve. “I’m more than aware of the struggles families have to go through and the sacrifices that are made to protect the ones you love. After seeing the difference this organization made in the lives of others, I knew I needed to be a part of the solution.” Steve is proud to be a volunteer with the HFCF for the past three years and looks forward to many more years to come.
