I had a great experience speaking at the Internet Motors Conference in Roma, April 8-9th.  I want to thank Marco Marlia, who shared the stage with me,  for the invitation to share my passion of automotive digital marketing with OEM and franchise dealers in Italy.

At the conference I decided to deliver the majority of my presentation in Italian. For those of you who would not know this, I really speak Italian.  I have been teaching myself Italian over the last 10 years, on and off, and I have never attempted to translate a presentation into another language.

The first day presentation was for OEMs and I was very nervous concentrating on my speaking notes.  I received some great coaching advice from Marco and Giovanni De Paoli and the second day was much better.  From the feedback that I received, my Italian was easily understood and many attendees came over to thank me for speaking in their language.  My grandfather, Francesco Di Gregorio, would be proud.

My Presentation in Italian

The choice to step up my Italian speaking skills was the right decision.  I am encouraged to work harder at my Italian language skills since I will be working now with OEMs and dealers in Italy this year.

Dealership attendees of the conference who would like a copy of my presentation can send me an email to: brian@pcgmailer.com and please put in the subject line “Internet Motors Roma Presentation Request”.

I was also very excited to see that dealers and OEM love the ROI-BOT dashboard software.  A number of installations will be started in April and we are working on a multi-lingual version for Europe.

Meeting Friends at Internet Motors Roma

It was also great to meet up with Nicola Barozzi, founder of Audeo.it, who also has some of the largest social media groups for the automotive industry. For example, Nicola’s LinkedIn community has approximately 5,000 active members and  his Google+ community is even larger.

It was also great to meet up with my partners at The Academy at the conference.  I want to thank Giovanni De Paoli for helping me translate my passion and message into words.  I look forward to collaborating with the many news friends and companies that I met at the Internet Motors conference.

The next time the Internet Motors conference will be held will be in the Fall in Milano.  The conference is held twice a year; once in Roma in the Spring and once in the Fall in Milano.
