summer internship - justine

This summer, our office was a home base and learning center for college student interns. The interns came in with enthusiastic attitudes and ready to work in the digital marketing world. They worked very hard, and everyone on our staff was very appreciative of their help. I was able to reach out to Justine, who is already back for her junior year at Brookdale Community College, to ask her some questions about her time here at our office.

justine - pcg intern story Justine is majoring in media studies and communication, and came to us this summer to learn more about digital marketing, and the tools necessary to advance her skills and knowledge for when she sets out on her career path. She assisted the marketing team with various tasks, but there was one particular project she was very fond of. This summer we launched a number of online courses, and Justine had a huge influence on promoting those courses.

“I brainstormed with Carrie and April on different ways to get that information out to anyone who could benefit from taking those courses.”

Their goal was 300+ signups. Through video marketing to target college students, making cold calls, and utilizing social platforms such as Linkedin to get information out to automotive dealers, Justine and the team reached their goal by the deadline.

“ I was very happy when I learned we reached out goal, and it was a satisfying experience being able to accomplish a work task.”

While she was here, Justine also learned about the importance of Google Analytics, and how it can help businesses target consumers.

“I never knew programs like that could filter who is coming to your website and how accessible these tools are.”

Now that she’s back at school, Justine feels like she has absorbed a great amount of information. Being here at PCG, and seeing how digital marketing works behind the scenes has given her a great advantage to continue her studies. She really enjoyed her time at PCG and says she’ can’t wait to see what the future holds in the upcoming years.

Good luck Justine, and thanks for all your help this summer! To see how interns can benefit your business, check out this blog post.
